Dave Harrison is the senior accredited appraiser at HarrisonBowker and was a founding partner of the firm. His professional qualifications include both the AACI, P.App and the CRA (Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute and Canadian Residential Appraiser) designations. He holds an Honours BA in economics and commerce from the Royal Military College of Canada, and a Master of Public Administration degree from Auburn University in Montgomery, Alabama.
Dave has more than 20 years of professional real estate appraisal and consulting experience. He remains actively involved in appraisal work and business development, and he is committed to the ongoing training and mentoring of new staff.
Dave is a member of the Alberta Expropriation Association and has been accepted as an expert real estate appraiser by the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta and by Alberta’s Land Compensation Board. He has served on the Appraisal Institute’s Admissions Committee that evaluates member designations in Alberta.
Greg V. Bowker, CRA
Greg Bowker entered the appraisal field in 1992. His experience in the 1990s with two long-standing Edmonton-based firms prepared him for what has been a 20-year career in the industry. Greg received his CRA (Canadian Residential Appraiser) designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 1998. He and his colleague Dave Harrison established HarrisonBowker Appraisers in 2004.
Greg’s focus since 2004 has been primarily appraisals of residential properties. This includes a wide range of single and multi-family properties, condominiums, rural acreages, recreational properties and hobby farms. Many of Greg’s assignments are for legal purposes including foreclosures, matrimonial settlements, estate valuations and bankruptcy settlements. He also specializes in higher-end homes, and employee relocation appraisals.
Pat A. Woodlock, B.Mgt, AACI, P.App
Pat Woodlock graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 1999 with a bachelor of management degree (BMgt). Pat’s experience in real estate began in 2003 when he enrolled in his first UBC course while living and working in Japan. Upon his return in 2004, he joined the newly formed HarrisonBowker team as a Candidate appraiser. Pat obtained his AACI, P.App designation (Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute) in 2009 after completing his Post-Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation. In 2011, he became a partner.
Pat has completed a wide breadth of professional assignments including residential, agricultural, and ICI (Industrial Commercial Investment) property valuations; as well as expropriation analyses and related consulting. Notable projects include commercial portfolios, special use properties, extensive farming operations and specialized consulting. He has had extensive exposure in both urban and rural markets, and continues to enjoy all aspects of real property. Pat is a member of the Alberta Expropriation Association and Chapter 62 of the IRWA (International Right of Way Association).
Jordan D. Gillespie, B.Comm, AACI, P.App
Jordan Gillespie graduated from the University of Alberta in 2005 with a bachelor of commerce degree (B.Comm.) with a major in marketing and a minor in finance. He was a member of the university soccer program for four years, winning a national championship in 2003. He began working with HarrisonBowker in 2006 and became a partner in 2011.
Jordan has completed his Post-Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation and obtained his AACI, P.App designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada. He has completed a wide variety of residential, agricultural, and ICI (Industrial Commercial Investment) property valuations, as well as various types of land. Additionally, Jordan is a member of the Alberta Expropriation Association and has completed a number of expropriation and consulting assignments.
Kris E. A. Riddell, BA, B.Comm
Kris Riddell graduated from the University of Alberta in 2001 with a bachelor of arts (BA) majoring in anthropology and returned to complete a bachelor of commerce (B.Comm) degree with Distinction in 2005.
Kris joined HarrisonBowker in February 2008 and since then has completed appraisals on a wide variety of properties, from single-family residential homes, to multi-quarter farm properties, and commercial land and buildings. Kris completed UBC’s Post-Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation in 2011 and is in the final steps of obtaining an AACI, P.App. designation (Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute.)
Isaac M. Achen, B.Comm
Isaac Achen received his bachelor of commerce (B.Comm) degree, with a major in accounting, from the University of Alberta, in June 2010. In October 2010, he joined HarrisonBowker as a candidate appraiser with the intention of attaining the Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute designation. Isaac is currently completing his educational requirements for designation through the University of British Columbia’s Post-Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation and expects to be designated by early 2013.
Isaac has gained a significant amount of experience in property valuations during his time at HarrisonBowker. He has focused mainly on residential and agricultural assignments, exposing himself to both urban and rural markets. More recently, Isaac has gained experience in ICI (Industrial Commercial Investment) valuations, and is expected to take on more ICI assignments over the next year.
Steven N. Hill, B.Comm
Steven Hill holds a bachelor of commerce degree (B. Comm.) with an accounting major from the University of Alberta. His education and training includes accounting, statistics and property valuation.
Steven joined HarrisonBowker Real Estate Appraisers in September 2011. Steven previously worked as a real estate appraiser with Canadian Resource Valuation Group, focusing mainly on work involving valuing right of ways on agricultural lands.
Steven also holds a real estate licence and has had several years experience working in the real estate industry. Steven is currently enrolled in the Appraisal Institute of Canada’s Post-Graduate Education Program, offered through the University of British Columbia to obtain his AACI, P.App. designation.
Darrell R. Muzichuk, B.Ed.
Darrell Muzichuk completed his bachelor of education degree (B.Ed.), with a minor in special education, at the University of Alberta in 2006. Darrell then went on to teach English in Japan for two years and another three in Vancouver. During his time in Vancouver, he pursued his passion for real estate and completed initial courses towards the Canadian Residential Appraiser (CRA) designation.
Darrell has recently joined HarrisonBowker as a candidate with a focus on residential property.
